“Peace, Love, Joy”

Four years ago, I received a phone call that would change my life. I was told that I would need open-heart surgery to replace my heart valve.

I developed heart blockage( after the procedure ) & received a pace maker, then another procedure to repair the pace maker.

Fifty-three months later, I face my health challenges with a positive outlook on life.

Why do I choose joy?

I know without a doubt : miracles happen every day because God is loyal & faithful. I continue to receive support from my wonderful husband, adorable children, family, doctors & nurses, Pastor, Church family, American Heart Association staff members, Radical Love Family, amazing neighbors & friends.

I’m so grateful to God for giving me the courage to share my story of survival.
